Since moving to the Lowcountry, I learned that the marsh is one of those places that can be trusted to hold your stress, anxiety, and noise—and simply reflect back beauty. These two pieces, created on the same day with limited palettes, were intended to reflect that space and process of putting down emotion. The echo of emotion fades away, and the experience of beauty becomes what the moment is about.
