Our
Vision
Our Goals
To be Savannah’s leading community of artists, where creativity thrives, connections flourish, and original art is celebrated as an essential part of life.
The Savannah Art Association is dedicated to supporting and celebrating artists at every stage of their journey — from the retired painter who enjoys creating for pleasure to the seasoned professional pursuing their craft. We provide exhibition opportunities, resources for growth, and a supportive community where members can connect, collaborate, and inspire one another. Through our programs and events, we foster artistic growth not only within our membership but also throughout the broader Savannah community.

Our History
The Savannah Art Association
For over a century, the Savannah Art Association has been bringing artists and art lovers together to celebrate creativity and community. As Georgia’s oldest art organization, we provide opportunities for artists to connect, exhibit their work, and grow in their craft while fostering a deeper appreciation of the visual arts throughout the Savannah area.

A Century of Creativity
Founded in 1920 by a group of visionary Savannah women led by Mrs. Mills B. Lane, the Association has thrived for more than 100 years thanks to the passion and dedication of its members. Today, we continue that legacy—supporting both emerging and seasoned artists, and enriching Savannah’s vibrant cultural scene.
