This photograph captures an abandoned farmhouse in middle Georgia, slowly being consumed by the land it once worked. The overgrown cotton field and bare trees suggest a cycle interrupted: after the final harvest, nature reclaims what was taken from it. In my work, I’m drawn to these quiet, post-apocalyptic scenes where infrastructure decays into the landscape, leaving behind traces of the lives and labor that once inhabited the now crumbling man-made environments.
